Tickets now on sale!

11th May 2006

Tickets for the 2006 festival are now on sale on the tickets page with reduced prices available until July.

Our artist bill this year includes no less than three US names together with a strong line up of British bands, forming perhaps the best line-up seen at a British bluegrass festival in many years. We are introducing a second stage this year and there will be a greater opportunity to see bands as we can programme them to play twice instead of just once.

Unfortunately, all this means ticket prices have risen since last year. However, we believe the prices still represent good value when you consider the range of artists we have booked. They also compare favourably with similar festivals running this summer. We are offering discounts on full weekend and Saturday/Sunday tickets if bought before July and all children under 16 will be admitted free of charge. Also, remember that our hosts, OGRI, sell the cheapest beer on the circuit!

Didmarton is not run for profit - there isn't one - and no one involved with the organisation is paid for their work. We don't get any financial aid or grants and all our suppliers charge us commercial rates for their services. Finally, all public events have to comply with the requirements of the new licensing laws and we have to make adequate provision for the safety and comfort of everyone involved.

The upside is that if we get strong support from bluegrass fans, we will be inviting another big name to perform at Didmarton next year. We have a great opportunity to promote a brilliant festival and we hope you will take the plunge and come on this fantastic journey with us. See you at Kemble in September!
