Super Early Bird Tickets!

Yesterday we teased about some exciting news, well here it is. You’ve heard of Early Bird Tickets, well at Didmarton Bluegrass Festival we give you Super Early Bird Tickets! Not only that, but from 8am on 1st November, for a limited time, you can buy your full weekend festival tickets at last year’s Early Bird price of just £80!

Sadly our costs, like everyone’s, have skyrocketed in the last couple of years and if we are to survive we have little choice but to increase the price of our tickets to offset that. To this end full weekend tickets will be: Early Bird – £85, on sale from 1st February, Advance – £90 from 1st June and the On-The-Gate price will be £98.

However, if you buy your tickets between 1st November and 31st January, you will be able to buy your weekend tickets at last year’s Early Bird price of just £80, beat the increase and save almost £20 on the Gate price!

I’m not going to mention the ‘C’ word as it’s still Halloween, but, festival tickets do make the most excellent gifts for almost any occasion… 😉

We look forward to seeing you in 2024! 😀

Well it’s very simple, all you have to do is purchase a Full Weekend Ticket before the end of May and you will be entered into a prize draw. All Early Bird ticket sales to date have automatically been included in the draw too! If your name is drawn on 3rd June, you will win another full weekend ticket to give to a friend, plus £100 spending money and a bottle of bubbly to celebrate! Plus, the Didmarton committee will get cured of this May Madness that’s caught them unawares, it’s a win-win situation! Please help save your festival committee from this madness and buy your festival tickets now! 😀

Day Ticket Sales

We know many of you can’t make the whole Didmarton Festival weekend and we know you like to plan your visit in advance, so here are the day ticket prices for this year’s festival – Friday £40, Saturday £40, Sunday £30. We also like to make your planning and visit as easy and relaxed as possible, so in a break from our usual day ticket sales on the gate only, this year from 1st August, there will be a limited number of day tickets for all three days available to buy in advance.

Would you like to trade at Didmarton over the festival weekend, 2nd-4th September? Think you have a stall that would go down well in our Festival Market with our festival goers? You could well be in luck, there are some spaces still available and we’d like to hear from you, please contact us via email: traders@didmarton-bluegrass.co.uk and be quick, we wouldn’t want you to miss out on this opportunity.

Didmarton Tickets On Sale 1st March!

Tickets for Didmarton Bluegrass Festival 2022 go on sale 9am Tuesday 1st March! This year we are working with a new ticket system and platform, all Early Bird and Advance ticket sales will be processed via Eventbrite, we hope this will make the processes easier to manage for you and us.

Ticket prices for the Didmarton weekend have not changed since 2017 and although we would love to keep them still further, all our costs to run the festival have increased by too much to do so, therefore unfortunately we have little choice but to make a change. This year Early Bird tickets will be £75, Advance tickets £80 and then £85 on the gate. Despite the increase we believe this still represents excellent value for money.

With a full weekend ticket you can arrive at 2pm on Thursday 1st September and stay until noon on Monday 5th September. There are concerts from Friday evening until Sunday afternoon, plus an open mic stage, a bonfire, picking sessions, workshops, dancing, 2 bars stocked full of real ale and cider, stalls and food aplenty and the chance to meet friends old and new! If you join us on the Thursday and stay until Monday morning, that’s just £18.75 a night, you can easily pay that and more just for a campsite pitch, without all the amazing entertainment.

So grab yourself a bargain and order your Early Bird tickets from 9am on Tuesday 1st March.

We are so excited to finally be able to bring Didmarton Bluegrass Festival back and we have a fantastic lineup of bands for you, announcements on those coming very shortly!

See you in September folks, let’s make Didmarton 2022 the biggest and best ever!

R.I.P. Dave Bresnen

We have some very sad news to share with you, Dave Bresnen, stalwart of the British Bluegrass community, a true gentleman and good friend to many of us, sadly passed away last night following a stroke. Please see our Facebook page for a message from his son, Matthew. Our deepest sympathy and condolences go out to his family and friends, he will be very much missed by all who knew him. When you have a minute, pick up your banjo, guitar, mandolin, dobro, fiddle or bass and play a tune or song for Dave and remember the good times and fine music we all enjoyed in his company.
